I can not believe it finally arrived!!
Here is our first week, taken from Xander's email that I will writing to him weekly with our schedule and a flexible plan as to what will be done that week:
Monday:
1-3 Dentist appointment
12-3 mommy is out at an appointment (you will be at your appointment with daddy)
Tuesday: 10:00-3 yoga at westmount park (1hr gym/french) then picnic lunch and playing in the park with the children (gym). Emma is meeting us there.
Wednesday
9:00- 5:00 Spending the day at naeems house (his homeschooling friend)
9:30 -4:30 Mommy is at work
Thursday: 12:00 - 8 Not-back-to-school picnic at beaver lake on mount royal (daddy is meeting us there after work)
Friday:
9:00 - 5:30 Spending the day at grandmas
9:30- 4:30 Mommy is at work.
English reading to enjoy!!: 3 books (or equivalent: 45 minutes): Write in your reading record: take note of when you read and how long.
Name of the book, Author, year it was published (made), company that made it. The first week we will do this together.
French reading comprehension: 2 books (30 minutes) --> write down words not understood; look up on internet/dictionary: Make a list of words learned. Do the same kind of list of what is read as the english books with: take note of when you read and how long.

English creative writing: Freestyle writing: Write whatever you want in a copy book. You might write a story, what you feel or think about homeschooling so far, what you feel or think about anything, write anything at all. You can write as much as you want and draw pictures for it or not your choice.
English Grammar: (see: Wise, J. First Language Lessons For the Well Trained Mind: Levels 1 & 2. Peace Hill: Charles City: 2003) Lesson 1: nouns, lesson 3: common nouns and lesson 4: Proper Nouns/Names - we will do this together.
Math: review: (see: Popular Books Company. Complete Canadian Curriculum. Grade 2. Popular Books Company (Canada). Ontario: 2008)
number position (one before or after): Done orally or written your choice. p. 7 #15, p. 8 #23-25
measuring with a ruler in cm: Measure 3 things, draw a chart with a drawn picture of the object and how many centimeters the object is .... cms p. 30 #1-3, p. 33 #11-17
adding and subtracting 1-20: play jedi math: get mostly fast on level one and two. When you feel ready we will do a review. It can be on paper or orally/spoken: your choice.
French creative writing: Journal entry (writing about something that has happened recently) or creative writing (a story)
History: Who is in my family? Make a list. (drawings if you want).
Science (technology): Set up and learn how to use personal online communication and productivity tools: Gmail and Google Calendar: tell me something you are doing next week: look it up on your google calendar.
